Open design notes
- The figure 7 of 12 is a fixed demo value. A Citadel can have as few as 5 members, so the real threshold has to scale with the guardian set. Still to be decided.
- Real recovery would use secret sharing, where each guardian holds a share and the key is rebuilt on your device, rather than collecting signatures on a message.
- Shares never touch Sovren servers. Key custody stays with you and your guardians.
